In this program, SEWS have covered near about 100 Adolescent girl and women and provided them basic information about Reproductive health and sanitation. This is first time when any NGO has worked with this community. SEWS has observed that there is such a need to help and support them for Health points of view; women are living in such a bad condition. We found that our small effort can make their life change so we did our NJPC- Napkin program for this community. And we are planning to implement Cloth for work program soon. Our NJPC \u2013 sanitary Napkin program was divided in two sections<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Introduction<\/strong> \u2013 SEWS- Varanasi and \u00a0Goonj- New Delhi<\/li>\n<li><strong>Program<\/strong> \u2013 Need of program implementation in rural area, Women condition during menses, Health &amp; Hygiene, Napkin uses etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the first section SEWS team introduced their self and Goonj Nationwide program <strong>\u201cNot<\/strong> <strong>just a piece of cloth \u2013 Sanitary napkin\u201d<\/strong> initiative to protect Adolescent girls and women\u2019s health during menses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the second section SEWS discussed why this program has been implemented and how it\u2019s useful to protect a women to get infection like <strong>UTI \/ RTI and STI<\/strong>. Protection during menses, safe practice during menses like bathing, changing of napkin and hygiene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SEWS organized this program successfully with the support of Ms. Veena Singh and Ms. Indrasani Singh did aware community to get participate in this program and support us in distribution work in Rajbhar (Schedule Tribes) community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Outcome <\/strong>\u2013 Community Adolescent girls and women\u2019s were really interested in this program and appreciated SEWS and Goonj\u2019s effort and give a positive response about our effort and said that they (Goonj and SEWS) thought about a women problem and provided so necessary thing like napkin, which will help women and girls to get protect with, many unwanted condition which comes during menses like unavailability of Clean cloth during menses, money problem to purchase branded napkin and so on.
