Finally on the occasion of Independence day SEWS India has launched “CLEANU” the brand ambassador of Shubra Banaras (The Clean Kashi) with the support of its creative wings “Jan Gan Manch” at Assi Ghat, Varanasi. It was nice support & response of people towards “CLEANU”. People appreciated Cleanu’s act and get clicked with his slogan ” Cleanu ne ye thana hai Kashi ko swachha banana hai” Cleanu has determined to make his city Kashi & Holy Ganga clean. here are some movement of CLEANU captured with our camera.

Shubhra Banaras – the Clean kashi , We have organized a Community Meeting at Rajendra Prasad Ghat and formed a committee “The barbers Association” at old Dasaswamedh ghat. it was 1st time when a committee has formed for barbers at Ghat. total 52 people has registered themselves as members of this association. Mr.Krishna Gandhi has moderated this meeting and Mr. Saurabh Sareen has organised all the event.

Education Desire – Lets bring happiness to needful 8-Aug-15

Same as last year SEWS India (www.sews.in) has distributed New pair of Shoes to needful students under its program “Education Desire” of Sant shishu Mandir , Luxa Varanasi. more than 100 Students were benefited with Shoes. I appreciate support of Goonj.. New delhi for their support last year. Some of shoes were balance which we are distributing this year.

I would also like to thank my younger brother Karan Gupta & Rishabh Kapoor for their effort that they are delivering happiness to needful students on time.

SEWS India organized menstruation health hygiene awareness program in Kamla Bhagawat Inter collage,Sadhoganj- Varanasi on 14-Feb-15. Our Team mate Priyanka Gupta did take sessions on this taboo issue and provide information of Menstruation health and hygiene to adolescent girls. during this session she covered so many issues on Menstruation problems i.e. Cleanliness during menses, Use of sanitary napkin and safe dispose practice. It was really good to see the participation of girls on this issue. As per Priyanka’s response on this issue, there is need to workout more and more because girls were not open on this topic in their families and was in wrong practice of use of clothes which usually they hide in dark and dirty places and they feel hesitate about their situation to share with any one.

Today 8-Feb-15 , SEWS India organized a community meeting at Machhodari- Varanasi. It was very healthy and interactive meeting with community on the taboo issue menstruation health and hygiene. Mr. Krishna Gandhi had taken the session along with team. Once again this meeting was coordinated by our volunteer Mr. Vishnu.It was a great gathering of more than 150 women and adolescent girls in this meeting. Women from the community accepted that , this issue has not been discussed publicly before, community appreciated our effort in this meeting Along with this SEWS India also created awareness on “Swachha Bharat Mission”.

Today 3-Feb-15 , SEWS India organised “Garmaahat – Winter” program at Koraut Vilage Varanasi. Mr. Rajkumar (Volunteer Sews India) arranged all the logistic and survey work for his village) and distributed old but useful clothes to Aged people and children of his village. As per information more than 100 people benefitted in this program. On this occasion Mr. Anand Gupta & Mr. Pk Gupta was present behalf of Sews India for monitoring work.

SEWS India celebrated Republic day with students of Govt. Primary School Cholapur.
Our team Mate Mr. Anil Malhotra organized all this program. After flag hosting program students perfomed on vvarious paterioritc songs and played drama also. It was nice to see that staudents were very talanted one of class 2nd students steals our heart his name was “Lallu” means an idiot but he was conterary of his name he was so talented and full of energy. After this ” Rangarang karykarm” Sews Indiadistributed woolen & general clothes to students under its flagship program

Swachha bharat Mission

25-Jan-15 SEWS India organized a community meeting at Slum of Katuapura – Varanasi with support of Mr.Vishnu (Volunteer SEWS). It was successful and interactive meeting on “Swatchha Bharat Mission” more than 100 Women participated in this meeting and they did understand the importance of cleanliness and hygiene of their area as well as for Banares. Mr. Krishna Gandhi, Mr. Saurabh, Mr.Karan Cool, Mr. Durgesh Singh attended this meeting.

Today SEWS India celebrated Basant Panchami at EDLC – Umrha Village. And have distributed Stationery to students.Which was collected from Schools of Varansi under our flagship program Broken Wings.. A new courage to fly. On this auspicious occasion when India celebrating Basant Panchami in this day thousands of poor kids still could not have proper education material to achieve their Education Desire due to lack of basic need of school material. We do request schools of Varanasi to share their Old/New but useful material with us so that we can support poor kids to full fill their dreams. Your old and used material could be gift for some one and help poor kids to achieve their dream.

What could be better to provide school material to poor kids rather situating an Sarswati idol for worshiping, Goddess of Wisdom have given you intellectual power to choose better option. Choice is yours
